OMG: Cake Batter Puppy Chow

If happiness could be embodied by one food, it would be cake. Not just any cake, but the delicious (and easy!) delight known as Funfetti. What's better than Funfetti? Practically nothing... except Funfetti and chocolate with extra sprinkles! Think it's too good to be true? Well then today's your lucky day! I give you:

Cake batter puppy chow! Yay! Now how do you go about making this rainbow sprinkle'd puppy chow deliciousness? Here's the best part- it's super easy. For a really huge, party-sized bowl, you'll need:

Cake Batter Puppy Chow

6 cups rice chex
1 bag (12 oz) white chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup Funfetti cake batter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Rainbow sprinkles


What to do

Mix together the DRY Funfetti cake batter (literally straight out of the box), powdered sugar, and however many cups extra sprinkles you'd like to add (for me, that means 1/2 a cup... actually), then set aside.

Put the white chocolate in a microwave-safe container and heat for 10 second intervals on "medium" until the chocolate is just melting. This should take about 1 minute total. Put the 6 cups of Chex in a large bowl or plastic freezer bag (the easier option), then slowly pour the white chocolate evenly over the Chex. Dump in the sprinkle/cake batter/powdered sugar mixture, then gently toss everything together until all the Chex are evenly coated. If you're using the plastic bag method, then make sure the bag is tightly sealed and shake until everything's mixed!

 

That's it! It's done! See, super easy. Now sit yo'self down and get a'chowin'!
